First they came for the terrorists....
and since they never defined terrorist, they came for everybody
Government officials with guns and power often define those who oppose them as “terrorists”. Many people in the United States can trace their ancestry back to the Revolutionary War when many of those who opposed rule by the King of England were referred to as “terrorists”. One might say that the Founding Fathers of the United States were “terrorists”. Many Americans can claim their ancestors were purveyors of terror.
To put it simply, “terrorist” is a term of art used by governments to designate their enemies.
In the past three years the present Democratic administration has signed into law, or interpreted current law, in such ways as to give themselves powers which might make many of the most despicable despots ever known by humanity to weep for joy.
Although Mr. Obama claims to have stopped the official use of torture by United States’ operatives, he has illegally refused to prosecute those who confessed ordering the torture of defenseless prisoners. Rendition, may or may not be ongoing, but no criminal charges have been brought against those U.S. operatives who engaged in this most nefarious activity.
Although the official use of torture has allegedly stopped, Mr. Obama has set a precedent that those who commit these crimes will not be prosecuted.
Mr. Obama often “talks the talk” while forgetting to “walk the walk” in its entirety.
What can you say about a head of state who signs into law bills rescinding both the right to trial and habeas corpus?
What can you say about a head of state who signs a law allowing him to execute citizens at will?
When the people of what is now the United States of America revolted against the British monarch, the person sitting on the throne had less power over the life and death of his subjects than Mr. Obama has taken unto himself.
The British king was mad. Happens to the best of us, which is one reason why there were checks and balances built into the United States’ system of government. The executive branch of the U.S. government was not given the right to execute any of its citizens without a review by the judicial branch. This is called the right to trial and Mr. Obama has taken this right away from every American citizen.
Habeas corpus? Mr. Obama has given himself the power to enter your home in the middle of the night and take you to places unknown for as long as he wishes. No lawyer, no visitors, no notice of where you’ve been taken. And if he or other members of the executive branch of government say you’re a “terrorist”, they can kill you as well. Or is that have you “disappear”?

Who remembers the Reichstag Fire Decree?
from Wikipedia
“The burning of the Reichstag was intended to be the signal for a bloody uprising and civil war. Large-scale pillaging in Berlin was planned for as early as four o’clock in the morning on Tuesday. It has been determined that starting today throughout Germany acts of terrorism were to begin against prominent individuals, against private property, against the lives and safety of the peaceful population, and general civil war was to be unleashed.”
The decree invoked the President's power under Article 48 of the Weimar Constitution, which allowed him to take any appropriate measure to remedy dangers to public safety without the prior consent of the Reichstag. It consisted of six articles. Article 1 indefinitely suspended most of the civil liberties set forth in the Weimar Constitution, including habeas corpus, freedom of expression, freedom of the press, the right of free association and public assembly, the secrecy of the post and telephone, not to mention the protection of property and the home. Articles 2 and 3 allowed the Reich government to assume powers normally reserved for the federal states. Articles 4 and 5 established draconian penalties for certain offenses, including the death penalty for arson to public buildings....

Does any of this sound familiar?
